Dying Light - Playstation 4 DEALS
Dying Light Review – One of 10 best multiplayer PS4 zombie games is Dying Light. Now, we’re gonna talk about Dying Light review. If you’ve never heard of this game before, Dying Light is a survival video game with the horror genre. Dying Light was released in 2015, where the development was carried out by Techland. Meanwhile, the publication was carried out by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
In general, this video game tells the story of an amazing character named Kyle Crane, who is an agent who is undercover. Kyle Crane has a mission to infiltrate the quarantine area in a city in the Middle East, namely the city of Harran. In this game, you will be able to see displays from the open world of the city of Harran, with hordes of enemies ready to intercept, both day and night, alternating dynamically. Just like ps4 zombie games in general, zombie behavior during the day is slow, easy to attack, and not too aggressive. Meanwhile, at night the zombies will be very aggressive and dangerous. In the gameplay in Dying Light, the main focus lies on the battlefield with weapons, where gamers can jump into combat or dodge when faced with the dangers that lie ahead. This zombie video game is also equipped with an asymmetric multiplayer mode, as well as a cooperative multiplayer mode that can be played by four gamers.
Initially, the development of this video game was only done in 2012. Dying Light was developed after the game Dead Island was completed. There is a parkour system in this game, where the system has the main focus on accentuating natural movements. In order for this to be implemented, at that time the development team had to leave behind a lot of stories that had been made and rebuild them. The reason is, the making of the storyline for this video game is no joke, where the Dying Light writing team decided to collaborate with Dan Jolley so that people’s tastes can be adjusted. Techland admits that the story of Dying Light was inspired by The Plague and Heart of Darkness.
In May 2013, they announced that in early 2015, Dying Light would be released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, PS4, and Xbox One, although the game was originally planned to be released on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Dying Light Review: Storyline
As previously mentioned, the setting for this video game is the city of Harran, a city in the Middle East where part of the population has been infected with a virus outbreak, where this outbreak turns them into zombies with very aggressive behavior. As a result, the Ministry of Defense in the city of Harran decided to carry out quarantine in several parts of the city. Not only is the Ministry of Defense doing its part to save the city, but Global Relief Effort or GRE is helping by sending regular airdrops to survivors who are still in the city. Here you are, as Kyle Crane, the GRE agent who deliberately goes undercover to enter the city and find a political figure who has problems with the GRE. The political figure is Kadir ‘Rais’ Suleiman. The problem is, when Kyle Crane gets there, he has to choose which one he needs to prioritize, complete missions or help the surviving townspeople.
It is known that Kadir Suleiman stole files belonging to the GRE which were very important in content and included GRE life and death information, but Kadir stole it to blackmail. The problem did not end there, when Crane got there, he was bitten by the townspeople who were already infected. Not long after, Jade Aldemir rescued him and took him to the Tower. There, he met Rahim Aldemir, Jade’s younger brother, where he was taught the basics of parkour. Immediately, Crane finds out that there is a band of bandits who are always disturbing the peace of the Tower. This band of bandits has a leader, namely Kadir Suleiman.
Apparently, Kadir also carried out the theft and stockpiling of GRE’s airdrops, including a drug that could be used to help the people of Harran City to suppress symptoms and slow down the infection process, namely Antizin. GRE instructs Crane to destroy the airdrop that was stolen by Kadir and buy medicine from Kadir so that his identity is confirmed. Finally, Crane lied by telling the Tower that the supplies had been stolen.
Finally, the head of the Tower, namely Harris Brecken, asked Crane to negotiate with Kadir. They agreed, but apparently Kadir betrayed Crane by giving Antizin the wrong portion. Crane and Jade are desperate to save Antizin, they finally decide to attack Kadir, but they both find a cache of plastic explosives. Long story short, Rahim is injured and bitten while Crane is away, and makes Crane have to kill him.
After tricking Crane, it turns out that Kadir doesn’t get tired of doing bad things. He is now capturing the scientist at the Tower, namely Dr. Imran Zere. These scientists are working on developing a cure for the virus. Of course, it had become Crane’s instinct to carry out the rescue, but Kadir caught him and said that he stole the GRE file which he thought was more aimed at arming the virus than developing a cure for the outbreak. Crane tried to escape. In the middle of the escape process, Crane finally cut off Kadir’s hand. Meanwhile, Dr. Imran Zere was killed and his research was replaced by Dr. Allen Camden.
Apparently, the Ministry of Defense decided to carry out a bombing against the city of Harran so that the plague could be resolved, which they believed no one had survived. Crane then collaborates with a group of survivors from the Old City, namely Embers, to attempt to warn the outside world by detonating a bomb to create a pattern, but a jet with a missile firing destroys the pattern. Long story short, Crane managed to warn the outside world that there were still survivors in Harran. GRE then contacted Crane to take back Dr. research. Zere in order to convince the public that they are trying to find a way to create a cure.
But unfortunately, it turned out that Jade was arrested by Kadir, who had committed theft of Dr. Zere. Crane was bitten and realized that he was about to transform into a zombie because of the infection. Kadir finally offered him a dose of Antizin, to save Crane or Jade. Finally, Jade makes a sacrifice, he gives Antizin to Crane at the last minute and gives Crane protection from Kadir’s men. Infected Jade eventually succumbs to the infection and Crane is forced to kill him. Long story short, there was a battle between Crane and Rais, then remained in Harran City to return to help the remaining survivors.

Uniquely, this game has dynamic day and night characters, not only for the zombies, but for you too. During the day, you can rescue random survivors, make your way to airdrops, and set traps. You can also use environmental traps like gas tanks, spikes, etc. to kill the zombies. However, at night you have to be really careful to avoid zombies. Your main defense against zombies is ultraviolet light to slow down zombies.
Dying Light Review: Development
As mentioned earlier, Techland only started developing Dying Light in early 2012, after they developed Dead Island the previous year. Techland reviewed the criticism and suggestions given to Dead Island to improve Dead Island next, but they finally realized that their new project was not compatible with the previous Dead Island, so they decided to make this new project separate from Dead Island. Techland also split from Deep Silver, the publisher of Dead Island. Finally, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has agreed to work with Techland as the publisher.
There are a number of major changes in the development phase of Dying Light, from animation to Artificial Intelligence to head-up displays. Even the storyline had to be left out of the majority and forced to make them start over from scratch. Techland finally invited David Belle, a parkour pioneer, to help them create a parkour animation that felt real.
